Very good plus wine with white peaches and ripe melon over hints of honey, lime peel, white flowers and a nice pastry note. The wine has medium plus fruit intensity and very good complexity. The medium acidity and medium plus body bring very good balance and a medium plus finish. The wine is drinking well and will for 2-3 years.

Novas Chardonnay Marsanne 2010 by Viña Emiliana

Very good wine with melons and ripe apples with a bit of tropical fruit over sweet dried apricot and white flowers. The wine has good complexity and medium plus fruit intensity. The acidity is medium and gives structure to the medium plus body of the wine. The finish is medium plus and very pleasant. Drink now.

Novas Grand Reserva Carmenere, Cabernet Sauv. 2010 by Emiliana

Grape Variety: 54% Carménère, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon

Very good plus wine has ripe red berry fruit over green herbs, dried sage and baker’s spices. The medium tannins are round and mature. The fruit has good concentration. The wine has very good complexity and medium plus finish. Drink now and for 3-5 years.

Novas Grand Reserva Pinot Noir 2010 by Emiliana

Grape Variety: 100% Pinot Noir

Very good wine loaded with tart raspberries and strawberries with dried herbs, baker’s spice and a mineral note. The fruit has medium intensity and concentration. The medium tannins are soft balancing the medium minus acidity. The wine has good complexity and a medium plus finish. Drink now and for 2-3 years.

Signos de Origen Syrah 2009 by Viña Emiliana

Grape Variety: 88% Syrah, 7% Merlot, 5% Viognier

Very good plus wine with tart red current and strawberries mixed with sweet baking spice and a mineral note. The medium plus tannins are chalky and balance the medium acidity very well. The wine has good fruit concentration and complexity. Drink now and for the next 6-7 years. Was known as Winemaker’s Selection.

Coyam 2007 by Emiliana

Grape Variety: 38% Syrah, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Carménère, 17% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot, 1% Mourvedre.

Very good plus wine with good complexity. The ripe red and black fruit are sweet and improved by notes of vanilla and dusty herbs. The medium tannins and medium acidity give good balance. Drink now and over the next 7 years.
